Episode 98 - X-Men (2000)

Okay, okay, we can all admit that the last couple X-Men movies have been less than great. We can all agree that they were pretty much disasters (unless you're that person who says "X-Men 3 is the best one, then you, my simple-minded friend, are an idiot. But I digress).

Forget the mess of X-Men The Last Stand or the wacky X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Let's take it back to the one that started this cinematic mutant craze, Bryan Singer's 2000 "X-Men", and see where we land in preparation of X-Men: First Class.

Episode 97 - Enter the Dragon

Kung Fu Panda's ways are most honorable for it respects the Asian cinema, and who defined Asian cinema more than Mr. Bruce Lee?

Let the Rewatchmen drop some jump kicks of knowledge and punch your brain with a discussion of the only American Lee film "Enter the Dragon". The film that set the standard on tournament films and showed that an Asian James Bond isn't out of the realm of possibility. Episode 96 - Dude, Where's My Car?

Sitting on the fence about going out this weekend and seeing the Hangover part 2? Well, suffer through a film like "Dude, Where's My Car?" and learn to appreciate the masterwork by comparison that is the first Hangover. Ashton Kutcher and Sean William Scott should be ashamed of themselves. I'm certainly ashamed of myself for owning a copy of this thing. It came in a two-pack with a movie I wanted! Don't judge me!

Episode 95 - Pirate of the Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl

Yar, me mateys! Draw swords and arm the canons!

Pirates 4 is out today, but let's go back to 2003 and see if the one that started this Johnny Depp fellow's career is still any good. Hopefully someone gives him a break someday. He's a pretty good actor. No Orlando Bloom, but he's got potential.

Episode 94 - the Wedding Singer

With Bridesmaid coming out this week, we decided to rewatch another wedding-themed flick: the Wedding Singer, the 1998 Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore romantic comedy that proves (despite Bedtime Stories, Little Nicky, and other such nonsense) that Adam Sandler can pull back and make a great film. Is it worth dusting off your very own copy and giving it a rewatch yourself? Take a listen and find out.

Sure, we don't really keep up with current events here at Rewatchmen HQ, but with Bin Laden knocked off the face of the planet, Ben pulled out the 2004 political satire from the South Park boys. How does this Bush-basing, Hollywood razzing movie hold up in a post-Bush era America? Experience the Jerry Bruckheimer spoof film that is bloody, explosive, hyper-sexually charged... with puppets.
